Santa Ana Police received 42 immigration enforcement notices, withheld telling public
According to publication Inadvertent, a public records request shows that ICE and/or DHS notified Santa Ana Police of enforcement activities and did not tell the public.

Santa Ana Police received 42 immigration enforcement notifications from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and/or the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) since January 20th, according to documents released in response to a public records request filed by the publication Inadvertent.
At a February 4th city council meeting, Police Chief Robert Rodriguez stated that there had been no ICE activity in Santa Ana. The timeline of ICE or DHS enforcement operations in the city remains unclear based on available information.
Public Information Officer Natalie Garcia did not immediately respond to The Santanero’s request for comment.
